Here are some random pics from the last few weeks!

Basement update

As you know we have been converting our basement to a finished basement to include a bedroom, bathroom, storage room, living area...the contractor that we hired is officially complete with his part...we have ordered the flooring, I have the paint ready...

We have the living area painted and ready for flooring besides the ceiling tiles that I am working on pretty much every night this week so it can be finished...the bathroom is functioning, I just need to paint and get the shower curtain up...I will take some pics when we are completed.

Here are a few pictures of Lucas enjoying his Easter basket goodies...

Lucas and I ventured home to the Quincy area on saturday afternoon and returned to our house on Sunday afternoon. It was a quick trip but we didn't want to be away from daddy for to long. John was so busy studying for his exams that he was unable to make the trip with us.

Favorite place...

I recently washed Sally's dog bed and got it all clean and fluffy. It has found its place in our living room....well Lucas has decided that it is his bed. He takes his toys and goes over and plays on it, lays down on it...if Sally is on it she gets up very quickly when he comes to take it over. It is so funny and cute to watch.

I was able to get some pics of him this morning playing on her bed.

Illinois Weather...

Well Lucas and I went to my visit my parents over the weekend and the weather was beautiful! I am talking 50s one day, 60s the next, and then 70s on sunday!!

Lucas had his first bowl of ice cream courtesy of grandma and grandpa...he picked up the entire scoop and shoved it into his mouth...here are some pics...

Tuesday this week brought some crazy snow! The area around us got anywhere from 7-13 inches...I think we got close to 7 or 8, but i am not sure. John had a snow day from school so we took advantage and went outside to play. Lucas had his first sled ride (on the lid of a garbage can) :-)
