Weeks happenings

Random Picture from last week...

John was on Spring Break this last week....YEAH!!

We went home to see family on saturday morning and came back sunday evening...We didn't do much at home just hung out, Lucas got to play with his cousins....

Monday- John spent the day working outside cutting down trees (Thanks dad for letting us borrow the chain saw); we will much safer heading into storm season with our trees taken care of. John didn't know his own strength when starting the chain saw and the pull got stuck so he fixed it right up (Lucas of course had to help, so dad here is a pic for you of your grandson "grandpa saw fix it")

Tuesday- we went to the St Louis Zoo...what a day! We thought it was a tuesday, kids are in school, St Patricks Day so it shouldn't be a problem at the zoo...yeah right. It took us a little over 2 hours to get to the zoo from our house when it normally takes 35-40 minutes. Turns out Dogtown which is right across the interstate from the zoo was having a st paddys day parade all routes were rerouted, I-64 is closed at Kingshighway and the detour lead us to the parade detours, parking was a mess both lots of the zoo were full, traffic was backed up with people trying to park for teh zoo and the parade...once we got to the zoo it was great! I forgot the camera but no big deal....we will be going lots this year!

Wednesday- John helped a good friend Patrick tile their shower...it was an all day event, Lucas and I hung out took lunch to the boys nothing exciting...

Thursday-I watched Grace for the morning; John went to the doctor to get a steroid shot for the poison ivy he got on monday dealing with the trees

Friday-we just hung out, nothing exciting....

Saturday-was a busy day...a good friend got married, so we went to the wedding in Stlouis then came back home to relieve the babysitter and waited for the next babysitter to arrive....Thank you so much Patrick & Lisa and Miss Lorrie! We really appreciate your help.

It has been a little while since I last updated some pictures.

We have been transitioning Lucas to a toddler bed this month, it was rocky at first but I think we are good to go now. This is how I found lucas one morning after he had been awake screaming to get out of his room at 545AM.....we just let him go and this is what I found...

Lucas and I took a little weekend trip up to see the grandparents on March 5-7. Here are some pics from our trip. We went to see my grandma at the nursing home and Lucas was so excited to show her the fishy.

After that we went in to Quincy to the Vetrans Home to see the animals. They have a deer park with deer, llama, geese, and buffalos. Lucas had so much fun...he kept saying come here deer, come on deer....very cute!
On saturday my dad was home and let Lucas ride the mower...he was so excited. He figured out how to turn it off and on and make it go faster....gotta love boys and there toys.

Summer like day!

Since we have been having summer like days lately...we put Lucas' tractor outside and watched him go....
