Go Diego Go!

Since Lucas is trying really hard with potty training, I told him we had to get rid of the diaper bag because babies have diapers and big boys carry backpacks. He got to pick out his first backpack...of course it is Go Diego GO!!! We carry a change of clothes, 1 pair big boy underwear and 1 pull-up plus wipes. He carries it himself if we go somewhere...he is very proud! I am very pleased with his progress with potty training...we go potty every 1hour to an hour and a half...we have problems with #2 but that is okay, very normal for kids to not be sure of that feeling of needing to go. We are waking up from nap dry and most mornings dry.

Last friday the 24th...John and I played in a golf tourney for his dental fraternity. It was a 4 person scramble best ball thing. we had a great time and didn't do bad at all. we finished 9 holes at 4 under....the winners were 5 underm but there was 3 times with that score. I was very pleased....the guys carried the team but Katie and I had some good shots...they even used a few of my putts! :-) Go me!!!

The rest of the weekend was good...Saturday John and Lucas went mushroom hunting while I bought and planted flowers! Sunday Lucas and I went home for my nieces First Communion. She looked beautiful! We had a great time going back to there house and playing.

This week nothing exciting is planned...John is suppose to play in another golf outing on friday but not sure with the weather.

Nothing real exciting has happend over the past week. Lucas received a finger paint set from my parents for Easter, so we have practiced our artistic talents...here is a sneek peak of his ability.

I watched a friend of mines little girl on thursday for a few hours...here is a pic of Lucas and Grace...you ask Lucas who is girlfriend is and he smiles and says Grace!

We don't have anything exciting planned for this week either...today we are hanging out and I am going to start SPRING CLEANING!! Tuesday evening John should have his first softball game of the season if the fields are dry enough, Wednesday is MOPS! Thursday I am watching Grace again and then friday Estelle (Grace's mom) is going to watch Lucas in the morning then that evening John and I are playing in the golf tourney...check back next week for an update on the golfing and softball!

For our anniversary John planned a getaway to Augusta, MO to the wineries. We stayed at a bed and breakfast that had its own vineyard, horses, fishing, hiking...it was beatiful. This picture is of us in the vineyard with our bed and breakfast up on the cliff!

This is us at one of the wineries...it had an incredible view, great wine, great music....definately would like to go back!

John and I don't have your typical love story. We met/started dating in September 1995. We broke up in December 1997 and went our our seperate ways for college. We remained friends through it all. I went to visit him in North Carolina for new years, January 4 2004 (we got back together)! April 1 2004 I moved to North Carolina, May 21 2004 engaged, and the rest is history! We welcomed our son into our family January 2, 2007 almost 3 years since we were reunited.

On this day I think oh lucky we were to have found each other again, after 6 years!!! Happy Anniversary!
